How can I help others? First, you can help by telling your blood relatives that you have hemochromatosis. They need to have their iron levels checked by their doctors. It’s important for them to get tested. The sooner they get tested then the sooner they can start treatment. Tell your relatives and then tell your friends, you may just save a life! How else can you help? You can join our Facebook cause. This is a great way to get information and share information with others. There are over 500 members in our cause and it’s growing everyday. We want to continue to spread the word about hemochromatosis. The more people know, the more people will get tested, and the more lives that will be saved. There are even more ways you can help. Consider hosting a support group in your area. You can organize a monthly meeting for people diagnosed with HH. Invite them to bring friends and family. Talk to your church and ask them to host an event for hemochromatosis patients. Please consider making a donation to our organization. We are a registered 501c3 organization and your donation is tax deductible. We want to continue to provide information and promote awareness. It doesn't take much, if everyone gives a little. You can give online through PayPal by clicking the link below.
You can also send us a check or money order to: Hemochromatosis Information Society Or you can give online through our Facebook cause. It’s safe and secure . Your contribution will be processed on our behalf by the Network for Good, a nonprofit, donor advised fund, which will distribute your donation to the Hemochromatosis Information Society. |
